Brief Description

SLE stands for Spring Like Effect and the SLE Rule governs the maximum allowable coefficient of repulsion of the spring effect for a driver head. This maximum allowable coefficient will be 0.83 starting in 2008. Any club that has a head with coefficient repulsion over 0.83 will not be allowed to be used in competitions. Competitive golfers should look for this blue mark when choosing a club. Generally speaking, an enlarged head was supposedly a disadvantage for catching the ball. However, Maruman succeeded in enlarging the head size to 430cm and implemented the gravity angle to be as high as 30 degrees that was before unheard of, resulting in a good catch of the ball. This design that defies common sense produces improved power transfer. As a result, they are albe to offer you a club that conforms to the new rule and realizes a farther carry distance.
