Stewart Golf Has Established a History of Excellence from the Start.

The seeds for Stewart Golf were planted in the 1980's by Roy Stewart in Boston, a retired aerospace engineer in the UK. Stewart took up golf after he retired and began using his engineer's mind to think of ways to make golf an even better experience.

In year 2000, Stewart Golf was registered under the name Stewart Concepts Limited and began investing in software and prototyping machinery. Another key move was the hiring of David Funnell, a talented engineer who formulated a business model and developed the ideas further. In 2001, Jon Miller, another skilled design, joined Stewart Golf Company. Both Miller and Funnell remain vital members of the Stewart Golf.

Stewart Concepts eventually changed its name to Stewart Golf to represent its focus on the golf industry. Production tooling was purchased and large investments of $500,000 were made.

In October 2003, Stewart Golf released its first product, the X1. The reaction in the market was very positive. Two years later, the X1R, the motorized version of the original X1, plus all of Stewart Golf's other golf equipment, including Stewart Golf bags, umbrellas and golf towels, were being sold in some 20 countries throughout Europe and Australia.
