IMPROVED DISTANCE & TRAJECTORY CONTROL

Introduced in SM6, refined in SM7, and reimagined in SM8. The center of gravity (CG) has been pushed forward, which produces higher MOI. For golfers, this means improved feel and a club face that simply wants to square at impact.

SM8 GRINDS: THE HEART AND “SOLE” OF VERSATILITY

Your swing is unique and requires a unique wedge. Master Craftsman Bob Vokey has spent years crafting, developing, and improving his Tour-proven sole grinds to fit players of all levels.

MAXIMUM SPIN - ULTIMATE CONTROL

SM8 grooves are cut to the edge to maximize spin and shot control. Each groove on every head is 100% inspected for conformity, and a localized heat treatment is applied to the impact area to double the durability of the groove.

PROGRESSIVE CENTER OF GRAVITY

SM8 features a reimagined progressive center of gravity, which produces the most accurate and forgiving Vokey wedge yet. Using tungsten weights and varied hosel lengths, the Vokey R&D team has moved the CG outside of the wedge head and placed it in front of the face, resulting in increased MOI and exceptional feel. For the golfer, this means optimized ball flight and a club face that simply wants to square up at impact. SM8 accomplishes all of this while preserving the classic Vokey head shape players demand.

SPIN MILLED GROOVES

SM8 wedge grooves are meticulously engineered through a proprietary Spin Milled process to maximize spin and durability. The process starts by cutting the face perfectly flat with a high speed saw. Then every groove is individually cut based on loft and finish; low lofts (46°-54°) are designed with narrower, deeper grooves, while higher lofts (56°-62°) have wider, shallower grooves. Micro-grooves are individually cut in between grooves, which maximize spin on partial shots. A proprietary heat treatment is applied to the impact area which doubles the durability of the groove without impacting feel making it the most durable groove in golf. The process is only complete when every groove on every wedge head is 100% inspected for conformity to the rules of golf.

AER SteelFiber i110cw (EX) is the perfect transition into a lighter weight shaft which allows a player to see some good improvement in distance and vibration reduction while maintaining pinpoint accuracy and incredibly consistent distance control.

 

AER SteelFiber i80cw (EX) A steel hoop wind incorporated in the shaft increases the dimensional stability during the swing. The high modulus graphite core for increased club head speed and an advanced steel fiber surface layer for stability help redefine golf shaft construction.

KBS S Taper Lite shaft incorporates proven KBS performance benefits in a lighter weight design. The firm tip and soft butt produce a mid-high trajectory and controlled spin.

 

FST KBS 610 WEDGE This wedge-specific shaft allows skilled players to produce knock-down and other workable shots into and around the green.

 

FST KBS HI-REV 2.0 features an active tip section that increases the effective loft of the club head, delivering a higher ball launch with more spin for added stopping power and accuracy.

 

KBS Tour progressive weight steel shafts are engineered with ‘moment of inertia’ analysis to increase stability. With a mid/high flex point, these shafts generate a penetrating ball flight and low to mid spin. The higher balance point produces lower swing weights.

 

KBS Tour 105 fills a weight and performance gap between KBS Tour and KBS Tour 90, while sharing their ‘moment of inertia’ engineering design. With a mid/high flex point, Tour 105 generates low/mid ball flight and spin. A higher balance point produces lower swing weights.

 

KBS Tour 90 is the lightest KBS shaft. It is engineered with ‘moment of inertia’ analysis to increase stability like KBS Tour. With a mid flex point, Tour 90 generates mid ball flight and mid spin. It also has a very high balance point which produces much lighter swing weights.

 

KBS Tour FLT is a performance evolution of the standard KBS Tour. The long irons are softened slightly to promote higher flight which can increase distance and improve gapping. The short irons are stiffened slightly to promote lower flight and better control. The higher balance points produce lower club swingweight.

 

KBS Tour V is the newest KBS stepped shaft design. Though 10 grams lighter than KBS Tour, Tour V seeks to maintain similar flight characteristics. This is accomplished with a firmer tip section. It also has a high balance point which produces lower swing weights.

MIT Tensei AM2 Red (T300) are lightweight, higher launching shafts designed for players with more moderate swing speeds. They feature Aluminum Vapor (AV) coated fibers in the shaft’s mid-section to produce outstanding stability from a thinner, tighter weave. Red AM(2) iron sets feature longer irons that are a consistent light weight, with a 2g ascension beginning 8-iron through the scoring clubs. This keeps the longer irons as light as possible while helping dial in greater control with each progressive short iron.
