Better Tungsten For Better Launch

Utilizing denser D18 tungsten weights and a 2000ºF brazing process used in aerospace construction our engineers were able to concentrate weight more efficiently and be even more precise with CG placement. In U•505, that meant sliding it lower and towards the heel where Tour Pros felt it improved launch dynamics the most.

Based on player input, we designed U•505 with a shorter blade, shallow face and a wide sole to maintain maximum versatility while moving towards a look that feels more in line with the rest of the clubs in your bag.

Tuned to Perform

Even the Engineered Muscle Plate that seals the U•505 is designed to provide superior performance. The plate’s specific composition and structure help tune acoustics and vibrations to produce a more satisfying sound and feel at impact while also allowing weight to be shifted for precise CG.

AER SteelFiber i110cw (EX) is the perfect transition into a lighter weight shaft which allows a player to see some good improvement in distance and vibration reduction while maintaining pinpoint accuracy and incredibly consistent distance control.

 

AER SteelFiber i80cw (EX) A steel hoop wind incorporated in the shaft increases the dimensional stability during the swing. The high modulus graphite core for increased club head speed and an advanced steel fiber surface layer for stability help redefine golf shaft construction.

KBS S Taper Engineered to provide superior feel while maintaining shot workability for players seeking a mid-launch and low to mid spin shaft.Shares the same bend profile as the KBS Tour shafts only with elongated step patterns to control spin, generating stable performance throughout the swing.

 

KBS C-Taper Lite includes the signature features of C-Taper; constant taper, stepless profile with satin brushed finish; in a lighter shaft. This yields a firm tip and softer butt design which produces mid launch and spin. Lower balance points for more normal swing weights.

 

KBS C-Taper steel shafts are advanced, constant taper, stepless designs with a satin brushed finish. This yields a stiffer tip section, helping these mid/heavy weight shafts create a low trajectory and spin rate. Lower balance points to give more normal swing weights.

 

KBS Tour progressive weight steel shafts are engineered with ‘moment of inertia’ analysis to increase stability. With a mid/high flex point, these shafts generate a penetrating ball flight and low to mid spin. The higher balance point produces lower swing weights.

 

KBS Tour 105 fills a weight and performance gap between KBS Tour and KBS Tour 90, while sharing their ‘moment of inertia’ engineering design. With a mid/high flex point, Tour 105 generates low/mid ball flight and spin. A higher balance point produces lower swing weights.

 

KBS Tour 90 is the lightest KBS shaft. It is engineered with ‘moment of inertia’ analysis to increase stability like KBS Tour. With a mid flex point, Tour 90 generates mid ball flight and mid spin. It also has a very high balance point which produces much lighter swing weights.

 

KBS Tour FLT is a performance evolution of the standard KBS Tour. The long irons are softened slightly to promote higher flight which can increase distance and improve gapping. The short irons are stiffened slightly to promote lower flight and better control. The higher balance points produce lower club swingweight.

 

KBS Tour V is the newest KBS stepped shaft design. Though 10 grams lighter than KBS Tour, Tour V seeks to maintain similar flight characteristics. This is accomplished with a firmer tip section. It also has a high balance point which produces lower swing weights.
